What is VFX compositing?
- [Narrator] So much can be achieved in compositing, and you should never try and get the 3D rend to look absolutely perfect because you can make much faster changes in the compositing stage. So I'm here on Eric Demeusey's site, and I'm just going to scroll down to the, award-winning Game of Thrones titles that he worked on, where he was a compositor and, you can see, if we come down here, that we have a side-by-side of the, sort of, raw 3D render and then the composited shots. And so you can see, how different they are and how unfinished these look on the left. There's just so much that's happening in the ones on the right and if you just scroll through, yeah, you can certainly see, the maps in the background where they're there, but they're barely there, you know, our focus has been shifted to this element. And that's the power of the compositing, you can really direct where the eye is looking. The idea is to stay flexible because changes are always going to be requested. So, you…
