What this course is and isn't

- [Instructor] This course is aimed at beginners new to Cinema 4D and product visualization, so chapters will start off at a slower pace to build a foundation of understanding, and then we'll pick up as we progress through each chapter. If you're just starting out with Cinema 4D, I'd advise you to watch the course entitled Cinema 4D R18 Essential Training: The Basics, and then come back here. Product visualization is about making a product look good while communicating the product's form and function, so we'll be mainly focusing on lighting, materials, and rendering. While we can't cover everything in this course, we have created other courses in this series on Cinema 4D R18 which cover other aspects of the software, so if there's something missing from this course, you'll likely find it discussed elsewhere. I want to point out that this is not a project course. It's a course about teaching different areas of the software which will aid your product visualization workflow. It's about teaching techniques and methods to set you up for success when working with Cinema 4D, so you'll feel confident to take on any project that comes your way. Finally, some knowledge of Photoshop is useful, but not essential, when we come to our chapter on adding finishing touches. I hope you enjoy this course and find it useful. If you have any comments or questions, please get in touch.
