Working with Dynamics

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to take a look at how we work with rigid body and soft body dynamics. The basic principle when working with dynamics is to simulate the dynamics using a low-poly mesh, called a cage. And then apply the cached simulation to a high-poly mesh. So let's work through a couple of examples. We'll start off with a new scene. And we'll create a floor. And we'll create a torus. And this will be our low polygon torus. So we'll just move it up 50 units on the Y axis. And then in the object tab, I'm just going to increase the ring radius to 175. And then we'll drop down the ring segments to divide this by two. And then we'll divide the pipe segments by two as well. So that looks pretty low-res and if we show our lines, we can see that that is yeah, that's manageable. Alright so we'll rename this Torus - Low. So I'll Command click and drag to create a duplicate. I'll call this Torus -…
