Working with lights and sky objects

- [Instructor] In this movie we're going to use a couple of objects to replicate the lighting in this scene. The first object we're going to use is a sky object. So come over to here in the environments objects and just choose sky. And the sky object needs a material. So we'll create a new default material and we'll just drop this onto the sky object for now. And then double-click and rename this sky. And we're going to focus on the luminance channel here. So I'll disable the color and reflectance and enable the luminance channel. Next we'll just click the arrow and just choose to load in an image. And we'll choose our forest.hdr. So choose open and this loads in. Now I must point out this is something that I created very quickly and is not a true HDR where you would use different exposures and bracket your shots, and then stitch them all together.
