Working with selections

- [Instructor] So let's look at how we'd add materials to selections. And so we've got this MoText object and if we click onto it you can that we have some Caps. We have a Cap at the start, a Fillet Cap, and what that does is it'll create some rounding and a Cap. And so we have some special selections on the object that we can use with our materials. Let's first apply a green material and this will be applied to the whole object and just as we have a hierarchy being evaluated from top to bottom, tags are evaluated from left to right. So if we drag on the purple material it's going to override the green material. I'm going to press Alt + R just to bring up the Interactive Render Region. And what we can do now is look at these selections and if we type in R1 the purple material will be applied to the rounding. If you had a Filet Cap on the back with rounding you can type R2, and similarly with Caps you'd type C2. So we're going to come over to the orange material, drag it on top, and it…
