X-Particles material and render settings
- [Instructor] X-Particles comes with its own material to render particles. The material itself has a vast number of parameters. And we won't go into everything, but let's take a look at a few of the essentials. So we've got this particle sim here. The flocking modifier and some turbulence and we'd just like to sort of visualize that now. Because if we press Command-R, we won't be able to see these particles. So we'll create a material. Come over to Shader and X-Particles Material. And we'll drop that onto the emitter. And when we render now, we can see the particles. So let's make some changes to this. So we double-click to open it in the Material Editor. First, we'll look at the color. So currently, the material is looking at the particle color. And this is what's been generated by the emitter. So if we just come over to the Display settings. We'll close this Material Editor down. And if we change the color and press Command-R, we don't see anything, because we need to regenerate…
