- [Jen] Even some of the most knowledgeable CSS experts are a little weak on print styling. How can we make the most of print styling in our CSS? And what's new with print styling these days? In this course, I'll walk you through these three topics. First, we'll look at print from a standard CSS perspective. How exactly do we include print styles in our document, external style sheet or media query? How exactly does the cascade work with styles for screen, print or all devices and what are our browser defaults? Next, we'll move on to some of the best practices for print styling. We'll consider what really needs to be printed on this page, uncovering some interesting layout bugs and creating content exclusively for screen or exclusively for print. Finally, we'll look at taking our formatting to the next level for print. Using the CSS paged media and CSS fragmentation specifications, we'll explore the best that print styling has to offer, including page breaks, setting page margins, hyphenation, widow and orphan control and we'll explore some coming specifications like bleed, marks and size. Hi, I'm Jen Kramer and I've been teaching and designing websites for 20 years. So if you're ready, let's get started with CSS: Print Stylesheets.
