From the course: Building a Resilient Web

The weak links that make up the web

- [Morten] When the web was created, it was designed to be resilient. At every level of the web platform, we find systems built to be fault tolerant and flexible. That way, the platform can evolve and we can do new and exciting things without having to worry about everything falling apart in older browsers or due to errors or omissions. This course takes a step back from the code rewrites to look at the larger picture of what a means to build a resilient web, where sites and applications work for everyone and take advantage of the features available to them in the user's environment. Basing our work on the web on a resilient mindset helps us create applications that work for everyone while helping the web platform flex and form and evolve. And I'm here to give you the context and perspective to help make sense of all of this. Let's get cracking.
