- So we've captured the entire house, and now it's time to sit down with a computer and really take our first good look at what we got. Now you saw me at various times zooming in on the back of the camera with a loupe, trying to look for problems, make sure that I had things the way that I wanted them. I encourage you to do that because it is way easier to fix things in the field than it is to fix them in post. In this case, I still do have a couple of things that I missed, but it's good to start learning what the common mistakes are that you make and go looking for them. Predict that they're going to happen and go looking for them in the field before you get home and find yourself having that "Oh my God" moment, "I'm going to be up all night working on this." That's a bad scene. Everybody does a certain amount of post-production, myself included. How much you do is going to be up to your personal style, but I'm going to say this.
