- Every DSLR or mirror less camera is going to have a drive button on it. This is the button that controls whether you take one picture when you push the shutter button down, or you take a series of pictures. You'll also find things like the self timer and sometimes even auto brackening controls under the same function. So first let's take a look at where we find them on a variety of cameras and then take a look at what they look like in the camera and what they actually do. Starting with the Canon here, you'll see this one has a drive button that actually says drive on it. Simply push that button down and then spin the back dial to go between single and multiple exposures. This will also take you into the self timer mode. On the Sony, the drive icon is represented by a stack of rectangles, that's to illustrate a stack of photos and you're gonna see that on a lot of cameras as well.
