- When it comes to working with prime lenses, you'll often find yourself needing to make microadjustments. I'm gonna give you a couple of examples for photography, and Jim, you've got some perfect ones here for video world as well. One thing that you have to keep in mind is what happens when you start to shoot macro. With macro, a lot of times you're dealing with a really close subject, and you don't want to have to keep picking up the tripod and moving it around. We're sometimes talking millimeters or less than that of an adjustment, so it becomes really critical to have fine control. So, for example, I've got that right here with this configuration. What we've got here is a support system. You'll notice that there is a bar here underneath the lens and it's got wheels. So as I rotate that, this support bar does not impede the focus controls on the lens. Additionally, we have a switch here on a macro lens to say exactly how much we want to be dealing with for a focal range. I've got a…
