The aesthetics of the real estate photo shoot

- Before we get that first shot going, let's just take one step back, and talk about the aesthetics of what it is we're trying to produce. You know, interiors photography comes in all these different genres. There is architectural photography where you're focused on the lines and the bones of the structure, the way the spaces flow one into the other. There's interior design photography where you might be focused more on the textures of fabrics, the colors of wall treatments, the art on the walls, the furnishings, that sort of thing. Real estate photography blends all of these together. And there's the prevailing aesthetic of going wide, wide, wide angle and bright. So, it's a pretty difficult mix of things to put together, but it's important to understand how these are being used. No matter how cozy and warm and inviting that little library nook is, I guarantee you your client wants to see it brightly lit and happy.
