- [Instructor] Hans Christian Andersen once wrote When words fail, sounds can often speak. Andersen gave us a great guideline for adding music to instructional videos. If you're video has sections that are silent, music can help fill in those gaps to enhance your project. Camtasia has a built in music library. To open it, I click on media and then library. The music tracks are at the bottom, then I can click the arrow to view the options. To preview the music track, I just double click on the file. (upbeat music) There are different styles of music, so I can try them out and see which one matches my message. (piano music) (uplifting music) When I do find one that I want to use, I can just drag and drop the file to my timeline. Camtasia creates a new track for my file. I can adjust the volume of my music by clicking on the track and then dragging the volume level line up or down to make it louder or quieter. I want to make sure the wav files stay within the track.
