- [Instructor] Now let's turn our attention to the upper right region of the screen, which is called the canvas. Now imagine a beautiful painting hanging on your wall. The canvas is where the paint is applied and it's represented by this light gray box that goes around the outside of your image. Anything inside of this box will appear in your final movie as your work of art. Now the area outside of the box is the wall that your canvas is hanging on. Now previously, we saw that when you click on an object to select it, you can manipulate the object size, position, and rotation using the clip's handles. Now with the object still selected, if you click on the crop tool here in the top menu bar, the selection handles change from circles to rectangles. You can now click on one of those handles and crop the object. Then click the arrow to deselect the crop tool and return back to the normal mode. Now to get quick access to the crop tool, when an object is selected, simply hold down the alt…
