Creating a custom recording region

- [Instructor] When making a screen recording it's important to give your viewers a sense of context for where they are on your screen. For this reason you'll likely make most of your screen recordings set to record in full screen mode, however, there are times where you only want to capture a portion of your screen or perhaps a specific window. If that's the case then you'll want to choose custom region from the screen drop down menu. When you do your cursor turns into a green cross hairs and a magnification loop lets you see a zoomed in portion of the screen directly underneath of your cursor allowing you to make more precise selections. If you have a window open and you move your mouse over top of the window, Camtasia will assume that you want to capture just that window and it will make an automatic selection for you that is cropped right to the size of the window.
