Creating a mask
- [Instructor] I'm going to show you how to use masks in your project. Let's say in this first section of my video, I wanted to show both Camtasia in action and my talking head video. One way to make that work would be to use a mask. Masks live here in the Visual Effects tab. To apply a mask, I just select the effect, drag and drop it to my clip. And I get this terrible-looking situation. The mask has been applied, but it's clearly in the wrong spot, so if I click right here in the center, I can reposition the mask. I'm going to put it right over my face. It's obviously way too small, so I'm also going to expand it. Let's go about there, reposition it, oh, it's actually good I did that because what I've done is select the clip rather than the mask. I'm going to do Command + Z to undo that. Make sure the mask itself is selected, you can see it's green, and now I'm going to reposition it. And we're going to put it about…
