- [Instructor] Time-lapse videos compress time to convert normal learning into micolearning. There are three basic ways to create a time-lapse. Now, the first is to take a series of still pictures over a long period of time and then stitch those images together into a movie. Now, to do this, you'll need a camera with an intervalometer, which is just a fancy term for a function that tells your camera to take a picture after so many seconds. Now, in Photoshop for Teaching and Learning, I show you how to create a time-lapse for this type of series of images. Now, the second way to create a time-lapse is to simply speed up a video clip with your video editor. And nearly every video editor has this function, and it's usually called something like retime or speed up. You then simply speed up your footage by the amount that you need to speed it up by.
