Drawing attention with annotations
- [Instructor] Now that you have a strong foundation in the basics of recording and editing, in the next several chapters, we're going to focus on ways to enhance and refine your screencast. Let's begin with annotations. Annotations are a combination of text and graphic overlays that can be extremely effective at drawing your viewer's eye to exactly what you want them to focus on. When you click on Annotations in the Media and Effects tab, you'll notice that there are six tabs with a wide array of different choices under each tab. All annotations work in a similar fashion. You select the annotation that you want to add, drag it onto the canvas, that object is converted to a clip in your timeline on the next available track and the clip begins wherever the playhead is currently located. You can then use the on-screen controls to adjust the scale, location, and rotation of the object on the canvas. You then use the Properties Inspector to further refine the object to meet your design…
