Editing your first screencast
- [Educator] Now that we have our first screen recording, let's explore the most common type of edit. The trim. And now, if you're following along, I'm in the Roast Profile document that we recorded in the last movie. Now, in the timeline, we have one clip that contains both the screen recording and our microphone's audio. At the front of the clip is a large icon that identifies the content on the clip, then the name of the clip and then in parenthesis, the word "Screen", indicating that this is a screen recording. Now I'll show you how to customize this name in a later movie to better suit your needs. Now when editing most screen cast content, always begin by first focusing on the audio and then on the video. Now in this clip, you can clearly see the audio waveform and if you click on the clip to select it, the clip's thumbnail and the title fades just a little bit, giving you a better view of the waveform.
