Extracting individual files from a TREC

- [Voiceover] I'm going to show you a nifty little trick you can do with your TREC files. Technically, a TREC file is really a wrapper for a screen capture, microphone audio, system audio, and webcam video. It just wraps them all up together in one file to make your Camtasia experience simpler. Now, a TREC file isn't much use outside of Camtasia, but you may have times when need to use the files outside of Camtasia. You could, of course, render out the file in a common format for sharing, but I'm going to show you another option that requires no render time and keeps the original files in tact. Here are a few ideas this could be used for. You could import the original file into another video editor such as Premiere or Final Cut if you prefer that. You could share the video file with a coworker who doesn't have Camtasia for use in a separate project or maybe just to view. You could send your original file to an editor if you are just the capture person and someone else does your…
