- [Instructor] And this course has been designed for both the Windows and the Mac versions of Camtasia 2020. The user interface between the two platforms is nearly identical, so for most of this course, I'm going to be working in the Windows version of Camtasia and I'll note any minor differences, but there are a few significant differences in the way the two platforms operate, and in those cases, I've included separate movies for each platform. Just make sure that you download the correct exercise files for your platform, as the files themselves are not cross-platform, even though the content of each of these files is identical. Now when you download the file for your platform, just unzip the downloaded file to your desktop. Now, inside of the exercise files, you're going to find a folder for each chapter of the course. You go into one of these chapters, you'll find a zip archive for each movie, and an overlay that looks something like this will tell you which file to work with, but do not unzip these project files. Instead, you need to go into Camtasia, and go up to the file menu and come down to the import menu and select zipped project. Then click the little folder for the zipped project file to open an import, go into your exercise files, and go find that file that was noted in the overlay. Then click the import button. You can then follow along with me using the exact same files that I'm using in the training. Now to get the most out of this course, it's a really good idea to follow along with me, and if you're completely new to screen casting or video editing, then I'd really suggest you watch each movie first, then go back and replicate each step on your own to lock that lesson into your mind, pausing and replaying as much as you need to. And the ability for you to learn at your own pace is one of the best things about screen cast, and it's why I love teaching with these tools so much. Okay, you're all set. Let's get going.
