- We've all become accustomed to the two primary types of media: live or synchronous and recorded or asynchronous. Now let's take a minute and talk about these two types of media and how Camtasia fits into a content creation and delivery strategy for you. Now for synchronous content, think of video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, and the many others. These platforms give users a real sense of a live in-person event even though we're interacting from a distance. Users participating in the live event can often ask questions to the speakers and to the other viewers during that event. Everyone can be fully engaged in the conversation at that time. Now these live events are oftentimes recorded. And watching a recording of a live event is a very different experience.
