- The best way to remove noise from your video is to remove the noise from your video before you record. Now, if despite your best efforts to create a quiet space, you still end up with a buzz, a hiss or a hum, fear not, Camtasia's got you covered with noise removal. And you can find noise removal here in the audio effects tab. Before we explore this, I want to clarify what noise removal can actually do. Noise removal is not going to be able to get rid of things like screaming kids, barking dogs, or industrious neighbors, armed with lawn mowers and chainsaws. What it does do a pretty good job of is removing consistent background sounds like computer fans, air vents, that kind of thing. So, for demonstration purposes, I've gone against all common sense and added a very loud fan sound into my track, let's give it a listen.
