- [Instructor] Before you begin recording, it's a good idea to take a few minutes and step through whatever application, presentation, or tool that you're going to be showing on screen and make sure that it's properly set up for your recording. Now remember, not only is your desktop your movie set, but each application is as well. Now your screen is not going to look exactly like mine. All I want to show you here in this movie is the process that I go through to customize an application. Now let's say we're going to record a movie about how to use the Tabs feature of our browser. Now if you look at my browser through that lens, then there's a lot of extra distractions here that we don't need. Now first and foremost is the web developer toolkit. Now it's not something that's going to be really important inside of this movie, so go ahead and close that. Likewise, the Bookmarks bar is not necessary. So click the Menu button, go down to Bookmarks, and then uncheck the option to Show…
