Using the Color Adjustment effect
- [Instructor] The color adjustment effect allows you to adjust the brightness, contrast, and color saturation of a clip. Drag the color adjustment widget to a clip in your timeline to apply the effect. Then clip the clip's disclosure triangle to reveal the effects bars, and adjust the timing for the effect. I'll trim this effect so that it's applied only to the first half of my clip. With the clip selected, scroll down in the visual properties panel to find the color adjustment setting. The default settings produce a highly stylized black and white effect. For this clip, let's adjust the settings to produce a more balanced black and white image. To do this, begin by dragging the brightness slider down to find a more pleasing setting. I'll drag mine down to about plus five. Next, let's bring the contrast down so the image doesn't look quite so stylized. I'll drag mine down to about 35.
