Using the Sepia FX
- [Voiceover] The sepia effect converts a color clip into a sepia-toned image. Sepia-toned images were common in photographs in the late 1800s and early 1900s. It gives a video clip an old-time look. Let's create an animated old-time wanted poster with the short clip of Phoebe. On the base layer, I have a graphic of our wanted poster with a space for us to composite the video into. Let's begin by dragging the sepia widget on to our clip, and then with the clip selected, scroll down in our Properties Inspector to find the controls. The sepia effect allows us to adjust the intensity of the effect by adjusting the slider. For now, I'll leave mine set to 100%. Then let's scale down the image and move it into position so we can fit it into our frame. Hold down the option key on your keyboard to access the Quick Crop controls to precisely crop the image into the available frame. Clip off the image to double check your selection. Then, with the image selected, go back to your Properties…
