What is microlearning?

- [Instructor] MicroLearning is a highly focused, flexible, and extremely targeted approach to teaching and learning that is perfectly suited for today's fast-paced world. Now, from the teaching perspective, MicroLearning assets should be focused on one single topic, designed for quick consumption on any device, especially mobile devices, and they should target a very specific need. It needs to be quick to develop and be delivered in the moment of need to the learner. Now, from the learner's perspective, all learning assets should be highly focused on delivering the one solution they were looking for. The materials should be accessible from whatever device the learner happens to be using at that time, and this is usually their smartphone. And the materials should be targeted directly at their specific situation to be most relevant and helpful to them. And most of all, MicroLearning needs to be available when the learner needs it most, which is always right now.
