Basics of capturing video
- It seems that just about every camera for capturing still photos also enables you to capture video. That's not an especially new feature in digital cameras, but what is new, in the Cannon 5D Mark IV, is that we're now able to capture full 4K video, very high resolution video. We can also, at lower resolutions, capture at frame rates of up to 120 frames per second. Certainly some interesting options, and that means there are some menu options related to video, of course. It's worth noting, though, that if I go into the menu when I'm in still photography mode that I won't see all of the settings that relate to video. I need to first switch over to video mode using that toggle on the back of the camera. Then, when I go on to the menu, I'll be able to see the settings that relate to video. For example, I can choose whether or not I want Servo autofocus enabled when I'm in video mode. I can choose the specific autofocus method that I want to employ in video mode. I can also adjust the…
