Bulb and built in intervalometer
- As digital cameras get more advanced, of course, new features are added, and in some cases, that means I can leave one of my pieces of gear at home. In this case, for example, the cable release because the Canon 5D Mark IV includes a built-in intervalometer. I can essentially capture time-lapse exposures without the need of a cable release. Let's take a look at those settings. I'll bring up the Menu display, and we can see that there is an Interval timer option. It is disabled by default, of course, but I can go into that option and choose the Enable option, and then, of course, I can adjust the settings. So, you'll see down at the bottom a Detail set button with the indication that I can press Info to access those details. By default, I'm capturing images at an interval of every 10 seconds, and the camera will capture a total of 10 frames. But, of course, I can change those settings.
