- Anytime you get a new camera, I strongly encourage you to take a look at all of the various menu settings and configuration options for the camera to make sure that you're getting the camera configured to your particular likings, and in large part to make sure that you're familiar with which options are actually available. I wanted to point out one option though that I think is important enough to make a specific point about, and that relates to Back Button Focus. I happen to be a big fan of Back Button Focus, in large part because it enables me to use a button on the back of the camera to establish autofocus, then use only the shutter release for capturing the image, so I'm separating those functions. The problem is, by default, the shutter release will also trigger autofocus, so I like to disable that setting. I'll go ahead and navigate into the menu, so I'll press the Menu button on the back of the camera to bring up my menu, and then under Custom Functions, I'm going to go into…
