The Quick Control function
- I often try to remind photographers how important it is to be familiar with the various controls on their camera, in particular so that when needed they can adjust some of those settings very quickly. For example, you need to change your exposure settings very quickly going from one scene to the next. You don't want to miss the shot because you couldn't quite get to those controls. Well on the Canon 5D Mark IV, we have a quick option where we can adjust the overall exposure settings for example, in fact a variety of settings related to the camera performance, with a quick control. Number one, that gives me the ability to just get a review, to see the various settings that are already established. If I want to double check what my aperture is set to for example. But I can actually make some adjustments here as well. So if I press the quick button to bring up that display, I can navigate among the various settings here of course.
