Creating an online presence

- [Instructor] I love this quote from Mae West. "Personality is the glitter that sends your little gleam "across the footlights and the orchestra pit "into that big black space where the audience is." Well, think about you sending your gleam through the computer of every one of your training participants, and the instructor and the facilitator will be the key in setting the stage and tone for others to gleam with each other. Let's look at some ways to do this. First and foremost, post a welcome video of you, or whoever the instructor is. You want to make the program personal and personable, right off the bat. Introduce yourself and lay out your credentials, but then also share something personal, like your hobby or favorite book or high Pac-Man score. Throughout the program, post ongoing announcements through video or text. Make it relevant to your weekly topic, and timely. Is there something going on in the news you can bring up? Something from an assignment from the past module?…
