- [Instructor] So before you set out on a road trip, you might consider who you are going to take along as your copilot. Maybe the people you may be visiting along the way. Someone at your destination. Kind of a road trip team. Well in the same vein, you need to figure out the key players to help you build your training program. As you are considering your situational capacity and needs, here's some team roles to keep in mind. First you may have an instructional designer. This role develops the appearance, organization and functionality of the learning content. They determine the project scope and the instructional materials. This team member basically takes the information provided and turns it into a learning experience. The second person you might have on your team is a subject matter expert.
