- [Instructor] It is really important to use optimized assets for your Captivate 9 projects. Adding oversized images, animations, audio clips, and video files will slow down the performance of your project. Though Captivate does a good job of optimizing content on Preview and Publish, but you still end up having uploaded Captivate project, which can slow down your machine. Let's take a look at some optimization best practices. First of all, when you download images from stock photo library, like Adobe Stock or iStock Photo, you get very high resolution images. Do not try to add those high resolution images directly in Captivate. Let me show you one such bad example. I go to Exercise Files folder, Chapter folder, and these are the images that I have just downloaded. And I'm in a hurry. I just want to get them in Captivate. You can see that the first image is 6.38 MB. 7.57 MB is the second image. And they are pretty high for a web based course. But let's just add these images. So I'll…
