- [Instructor] Now that we've got the recipe calculator working, one thing to notice is that if you don't type anything in the box and click Submit, all the ingredient quantities end up at zero. Now, you might think that a solution to this problem would be to return to the Variables window, and then change the number of trays variable so that it has a default value of one. That way, every ingredient is automatically multiplied by one, so at the very least, you get quantities for one tray of dessert. Let's try it out. So I won't type anything in, and press Submit, and unfortunately, that didn't work. That's because if the user doesn't type anything in, the number of trays variable is overwritten with a zero when the user clicks the Submit button.
