Highlighting clicked objects
- When creating a screen with multiple lightboxes, it's a good idea to provide visual cues to the learners about which buttons have been clicked on the screen. You can make this happen by using the Apply Effect action. Let's see how it works. We are in the Highlight_Clicked_Start project. You can open it from the Exercise Files folder, on the Chapter Four folder. This interaction is the same as the last exercise. The only difference is that I've created it using seven different advanced actions instead of using a single shade action. Take a pause and check out the differences and use the workflow that appeals to you. Let's go to the next screen. It's time to add some highlights to these buttons. To add highlights, we will have to modify the advanced actions we have created. If you wish to use the shade actions workflow, you will need to rewrite and reapply the shade actions, as you cannot modify the already created shade actions in Captivate.
