Introduction to variables
- [Voiceover] Variables in Captivate act as placeholders for data which can be used for both storing and retrieving content. Variables can store information such as names, numbers or letters that can be reused multiple times during a project. This data can be used to provide feedback to the learners, create advanced actions, display content, or to configure widgets and learning interactions. In Captivate, you can use variables when you are working with text captions, actions including advanced and shared actions, widgets, learning interactions, getting and setting variables in published files using JavaScript, and for movie navigation. These small but really powerful variables will help you create customized and personalized elearning courses with ease.
