Using retopo to make the head base: Part 1

- In this video we're going to take a closer look at the retopo process in the tools in Blender. The retopo tools allow you to snap or place polygons, edges, vertices onto another mesh. So it's kind of like sticking pieces of tissue paper onto a styrofoam-based mesh. Now this is our Dyntopo mesh that we made and it's going to have a few errors. And yours will look different than mine but even mine ended up with these little spikes sticking out of the back, I mean these got two of them. In Edit Mode there's just more spikes. With all of those spikes, and errors, and maybe there's folds in your mesh you could see there's some little wrinkles up here in my mesh, like that. Some of those we need to change like the spikes. And they're just ugly so we don't want them in our mesh so I'm going to go to Edit Mode. The nice thing about this is this mesh really isn't going to matter at the end. We can do anything we want to this high-poly mesh. We're going to pretty much just throw it away in…
