- [Instructor] Another great technique for providing secure network access is profiling. We're going to discuss this from the perspective of Cisco ISE, to see those benefits. The profiling service in Cisco ISE has the ability to identify each device that connects to your network. By profiling, we simply mean that we are gathering data about a specific end point, in order to determine information about the device, such as the operating system or the type of device. There are many use cases for this, including developing different policies based on device types. For instance, you might want to handle an iPad on the network differently than you would a workstation. As another example, we can manage access to our devices that do not authenticate with the network such as printers. If we go to the top Work Centers menu, here in Cisco ISE, we're going to see a profiler section in the middle of this pop-out menu. And from this section, we want to choose Endpoint Classification.
