- [Instructor] In today's large multinational companies, there may be more than the campus area network. We now need to deal with communicating over a wide area network. As we see in this graphic, a complex organization may have several branch offices along with teleworkers that need access to resources on the main network. In addition, a large network may require two or more data centers and a distributive configuration to speed up access time. The data centers might be offsite in a geographically mirrored locations. Here we see in this graphic, the main site and branch offices along with two mirrored data centers in the center of the country. The data center might be at a site managed by the company or it might be outsource cloud base storage facility that's managed by a hosting company.
