Create audio announcements with Audacity

- In this video, we'll learn how to create audio announcements for your school. The first thing we need to consider is a platform to record our announcements on. Although this can be done with a handheld digital recorder, I believe it's beneficial to use some type of audio editing platform. First, you'll get better results, and also students can learn the basics about editing audio. The one that I would recommend is Audacity. It's free, it's powerful, and it's easy to use. You can download Audacity at audacity.sourceforge.net/download. The next consideration is what you'll use to record the announcements. Audio quality is an important factor, and while may computers or phones have built-in microphones, they're usually a very low quality. I recommend investing in a USB microphone to help improve the audio quality.
