(piano music) - [Voiceover] For the next stage of the painting, I'll be adding some permanent Alizarin Crimson, and also some acrylic glazing liquid gloss, and just have some paper towel on hand, for when we do some glazing. So now I've just rearranged my color string that I had with the Cadmium Yellow Light and the Burnt Umber, and now I've just included some permanent Alizarin Crimson. The first thing I can do is take one of my top mixes and then just add a little bit of the crimson into it. It'll give this lovely dark, bark-y color, which is really nice when you look here for some of the areas in the top of this bark, which has got this nice warm hue to it. So just that top mix, a tiny bit of the crimson into it. You can just to start to bring in this warmth. And again, as it gets closer to the light, just jump down to your next string, add a bit more of the crimson into the mix. A tiny bit of white. Again, lighter still.
