Sending files from Final Cut Pro to Color
So chances are if you are wanting to learn Color, you have been exposed to Final Cut Pro. Maybe you are a seasoned Final Cut Pro editor or a beginner, either way that's fine. The point is most Color workflows start in Final Cut Pro. This makes sense if you think about it because Final Cut Pro is the centerpiece of Final Cut Studio. And this is where we ingest, edit, add effects and transitions and where output happens. In this lesson, we will start in Final Cut Pro and talk about prepping the sequence for Color. Talk about some things to be aware of and then we will actually send a sequence to Color. If you are not a Final Cut Pro user, have no fear. The steps that we will do here are pretty straightforward and simple. The first thing I want to do is double- click on the exercise files folder on the Desktop. The exercise files folder contains two items. The first is a text file about how to use the exercise files, and the next thing is a disk image called exercise_files. We are using…
