Color grade
- [Instructor] An important use of color effects is color grading. And with color grading, you attempt to improve a shot aesthetically by adjusting the colors and other related properties, such as brightness and contrast. So how can we improve this shot? Well, this window on the left is a bit distracting. I could use color effects to desaturate the area and make it brighter. At the same time, we can use Pixel Chooser to make sure the different effects influence different parts of the frame. Let's give it a try. I'll select this layer, go to Color and Tone. And we'll begin with Hue-Sat-Lightness. We'll begin by adjusting the window area. I want to desaturate that. So I add a negative value, let's say negative 40. Of course, it affects the entire frame.
