Overview of Boris Continuum

- [Lee] So what is Boris Continuum? Well, Continuum is a effect plug-in set that's commonly used for post-production and visual effects work. The 2020 version includes new features, new effects, and updates, and many of these we'll discuss throughout this course. For example, there's a new Corner Pin Studio for motion tracking, new reflection and cast shadow effects, a new area brush for Mocha, and updates for Particle Illusion and Title Studio. Boris Continuum works in a wide range of software packages, including Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, The Foundry's NUKE, and many others. For this course, we'll be using Adobe After Effects. Regardless of which software package you're using, applying the effects often has a similar set of steps. Let's give that a try. Let's start with Adobe Premiere. In Premiere, you can go to the Effects panel and type in BCC, and there are all the effects. To apply one, click-drag it to your footage bar. Let's try After Effects. In After Effects, you can go to the Effects and Presets panel, type BBC in one more time, and there are all the effects. Once again, you can click-drag and drop on your footage bar. Can also select a layer and go straight to Effect. You'll see 'em at the very top. So there you go, Boris Continuum is a large set of effects plug-ins that work in a wide range of software packages.
