- [Instructor] Once we have a MIDI event on our timeline we will likely want to adapt it in some way. This isn't always necessary, but there will be occasions when this is required. So this is what I'm going to do. I've got a new MIDI event on my timeline there, and I've placed it on the track labeled as Grand 3. Here it is stretching over a few bars, in fact eight bars in total. I'm going to start playback by clicking the play button up here so that you can hear what this sounds like. Have a listen. (stirring piano music) Okay, as we saw there during playback we can watch the animated virtual keyboard on our VSTI, in this case The Grand, playing the notes that are contained within this MIDI event. Right, let's look at what we can do when we want to edit this MIDI event. Now to be honest, there is no real problem with this MIDI event, but I want to show you the process or at least the functionality available to us when we want to edit any MIDI event.
