- [Instructor] Another really useful feature of using a VSTi, in this case Steinberg's The Grand 3, is we can switch over to a different sound so that we can hear the performance played by a different instrument. Before doing that, I'll just walk you through some of the essential things we need to know when using the VSTi panel in the right zone. Here's the Grand 3 loaded as the track instrument, set up in the previous tutorial. If I wish to remove it as a track instrument I need to left click the name of the existing VSTi loaded up, in this case the Grand 3, and then choose that top option, No VST instrument. Okay, so that instance of it, as a track instrument, has now been removed. GrooveAgentSE is still in place though. I didn't remove that. Okay, now let's add the Grand 3 back into the project, but this time as a rack instrument. This way, we see the subtle difference between loading the two types of instruments.
