- [Man] I do want to look a little further at the mix console, in terms of running multiple versions of it, but I'll leave that until the movie after the next one. As a slight digression here, I want to consider something that is related to the mix console, in terms of the volume playback of our mix. I'm referring to the meters found at the right of the user interface, when we have the right zone on display, I haven't got it on display at the moment, but we will in a minute or so. First, lets look at why the metering in Cubase is important to us, if we record multiple audio tracks at a good, loud level, then upon playback, the individual tracks will play in isolation at a good, loud level, without introducing any distortion. However, if I combine the audio tracks, as we would do, when mixing the project, those same audio tracks that produce strong peak levels, in isolation, will of course, combine in playback volume.…
