Insert effects
- [Instructor] We just heard reverb added to a group of tracks, those four backing vocal tracks. On the Group Effects channel created as a shared effect track for the backing vocals, I inserted a reverb plugin. And towards the end of the previous movie I adapted the mix level in the FabFilter plugin between the dry signal and the amount of reverb added to it. Here I'll quickly show you the difference between using a Send effect and an Insert effect. Instead of showing you this on the backing vocals, I'll do it with the Narration track, which is at present, totally dry. In other words, no reverb, or indeed any other effect, has been added at all. Well I say that. If you look at the inspector for this track, we'll notice the insert panel has a yellow button illuminated. This means an effect has been inserted already, but isn't presently activated. I'll open up the Insert panel. I've got this FabFilter compressor inserted.…
