- [Instructor] You'll no doubt remember me saying in an earlier movie that we can use the MIDI modifier panel to filter out specific ranges of notes from a busy MIDI event so that only specific notes of our choosing get heard. Well, that's what I'll do here. I did talk you through the theory of the process earlier, but I thought it worth showing you this as a practical example here too. Consequently, I've got this new, but very basic, side project loaded up with just one event. It's a busy piano MIDI event that is, at present, driving a native VSTi from Steinberg called The Grand 3. The Grand 3 doesn't come free with Cubase, though a cut-down version is available, The Grand SE.
